The parish council have agreed the parish meeting dates for 2025.

*Attention residents* damaged fencing by the A6175 opposite Heath school (wildflower area)
We are sorry to announce that the newly installed fencing, intended to discourage improper parking and to tackle health and safety issues arising from thoughtless parking practices, has regrettably been damaged.

Christmas Lighting Stolen from Holmewood Roundabout
It saddens the parish council to report the theft of the Christmas lighting that lit the A6175 roundabout at Holmewood. The decorations, which have been a focal point within the parish, were discovered missing on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Parish Christmas event
It was lovely to see over 50 local children attending the Children's Christmas party held at St Albans Centre, Holmewood.
With Santa's grotto, music, entertainment and party food, all the children truly enjoyed the day.

Completion of the limited assurance review for the year-ended 31st March 2024
PKF have completed Heath & Holmewood Parish Councils review of the Annual Governance & Accountability Return for the year ended 31st March 2024.
The attached document includes the external report/certificate and notice of conclusion.

Heath Flower Festival 20th - 27th July 2024
The Chair of the Parish Council and District Councillor, Lee Stone and fellow District Councillor, Suzy Cornwell, were asked to judge the Scarecrows at the Well Dressing in Heath on Saturday. With over 20 entrants and some very creative Scarecrows, picking a winner was a tough job. Planning application - 24/00473/MFL - Land East of Central Street, Holmewood
North East Derbyshire District Council have received a planning application for the erection of residential dwellings on land east of Central Street.
The Parish Council have forwarded comments to NEDDC in regard to this application and await further clarification from the District Council on the determination date.
